From the Desk of Principal

Dear Visitors,

Tagore English Academy proudly amalgamates traditional values with contemporary infrastructure and pedagogies. Entering the portals of the school, one can feel the unique blend of values, culture and quality education, all integrated finely to produce a holistic individual ready to embrace the challenges of the world. We focus on identifying and realizing the latent qualities of our students and giving them new dimension. In the times when subjects are merging boundaries and approach to education has been metamorphosed, schools have a broader and a larger purpose to cater. So it is imperative that we provide a perfect environment to our students and raise them to be future leaders, enterprising entrepreneurs and able professionals who possess skills and aptitudes and see their welfare in the well being of others. 

We are aware that today’s generation is techno-savvy which requires a very dynamic approach for being taught. Hence education has to be such which caters to this multi-faceted generation with diverse needs. In the world where knowledge is freely available and information is just a click away, our 21st century learner can quench his insatiable thirst for knowledge, by technology. In accordance with the same, we allow technology to walk into our classrooms, combining tools, techniques and tutorials by teachers, leading to collaborative learning. Along with knowledge these students are also exposed to a vast ocean of information which is boon as well as bane for them. We engrain in them the wisdom to distinguish the right from wrong and the ability to judge, so that they are equipped to make the apt choices. 

We also take the onus of establishing the golden rule of humanity. Our emphasis is on the re- construction and reinforcement of morals and value system among students, so that armed with concern, compassion, empathy and selflessness, the students can brave all odds and reach the pinnacle. 

The team of zealous teachers of Tagore English Academy has never left any stone unturned in order to harness the best in the student and give the best result. They strive to focus on each and every child, monitor and mentor them, appreciate and encourage them to fortify their strengths and overcome their shortcomings. 

I extend my gratitude to the parent fraternity for entrusting their child to us and assure that Delhi Public School, Bhopal will only continue to strive hard to accomplish its cherished goals transcending all obstacles and mediocrity.

One of the paramount things in education in the context of emerging scenario is the relevance of what is being taught in educational institutions. After all, the true test of education is not what one learns within the four walls of school and the class room, but what one does with the learning when he enters the life ahead. The whole world today has been dubbed as "province of knowledge ". Everyone is talking about the knowledge - explosion. If one is in information technology, communication and even entrepreneurship, one is deemed to possess knowledge in all aspects of human endeavour.
A throw back to the days of Marie Antoinette is, her immortal phrase " If the poor do not have bread, give them cake." Knowledge today does not only reside in books, CD-ROMS or even on the internet, but it is in the heads and hearts of people. It is the sense that an individual makes of the information that he acquires through introspection and through use of senses. No two people make of the same an identical piece of information, which one gets from internet, books etc.
A person's knowledge is unique to him. Our system of education has to appreciate this diversity. The assumption that the more information one can cram into one's head, the more knowledge is acquired, stands no ground today. If we have to become a knowledge driven society, we will have to generate and apply knowledge profusely in a productive manner. There has to be encouragement given to innovation, quality and creativity in education. The role of education and the institutions has to drastically change from that of a "doer" of running the institutes to "being" a facilitator of diversity and innovation. "Let a hundred flowers bloom: let a hundred schools of thought contend" - offers the best hope for our country to prepare its people for the knowledge management. Indeed the winners of today will be those who stay ahead and bring about a change. The institutions of future would need much more than mere foresight. They would need to raise performance levels and in the social context, identify changes.
